derek and sharon's wedding @ concorde hotel
this wedding has got to be the one where i met up with the most people by sheer coincidence and table seating! derek is our ex-colleague from citibank. he also happens to be my form one to form three class mate and subsequent school mate. the wedding was really nice...they had purple and white balloons hanging from the ceiling, strategically placed beneath each concealed lighting so that it looked as if each balloon had a bulb lighted up in it...gorgeous! good food too, though the waiter at our table was very eager to clear our plates after every course....i think they don't get paid overtime!
now..the six degrees of separation thingy...we went with a citibank colleague, WN and all three of us were seated on the same table. she then met a lawyer friend, YS, that has worked with a couple of people we know in citi before. seated next to him was a school friend of derek's, D (who actually remembered that i'm from the same school) and his fiancee, G, who used to work at citi. seated next to G was YP, also derek's school and class mate and my primary school class mate and secondary school mate and my ex-boyfriend's friend's ex-girlfriend. she also happened to know WN's sister. next to her was PY and her boyfriend, who was WN's ex-colleague from standard chartered and my form three classmate. holy cow...does derek and sharon know how to plan seating arrangements or what?!?!
all in all, it was a lovely wedding. the groom's father gave a very touching speech and you can see that the lovely couple are obviously very very much in love...congrats to both of you, derek and sharon!
